Blue Heron Roost

Vancouver’s Stanley Park is about one-fifth larger than New York City, and yet its form was no designed by a landscape architect, but rather from the evolution of a preexisting forest that grew alongside the city’s downtown core.

This obervation tower priviledges space for the Pacific Blue Heron based on their picky roosting needs over the human experience of the park.
